Meet Brendan Boden

I'm the Director of ACL Computing, a long established IT company that provides hardware, bespoke software, cloud architecture, maintenance and managed IT services. We operate in Ireland and the UK.
With over three decades of hands-on IT leadership, my expertise spans hardened Unix/Linux environments, advanced network security, server administration, cloud deployment and administration, and bespoke application development.
Having built secure infrastructure from bare-metal servers to hybrid enterprise estates, I now specialize in guiding organizations through secure cloud adoption and strategic digital transformation.
I hold a Bachelor of Engineering from Queen's University Belfast and am currently completing a Joint Master's in Advanced Digital Technologies delivered by Linköping University, NOVA IMS, National College of Ireland, and the University of Bologna.
The final part of my Masters is a research project, The Practicum. At present, there is a lacuna in the literature regarding Small and Medium business needs and characteristics during their Digital Transformation. I hope that my small contribution will help provide much needed insights for other practitioners in this field.
